It's an open world survival/crafting MMO, a specific kind of MMO in which a lot of your progress through the game is a tangible, in-game presence other players can interact with. Time invested is as important as skills and preplanning, if not more. Every person committed to playing the game is playing as much as they can, but some people can play more than others. Other MMOs of this genre get around this by having community servers that only come on at certain timeframes, or just by catering to people in a particular region of the world. H&H doesn't have the playerbase for that, so unless you want the devs to rely on autismbux or russian trust-fund kiddies, "how can the game balance no-lifers and people with jobs and/or family" remains what the dev path circles around.
