Don't have to do dungeons at all, could buy the stat containers from others, or be happy with 300 stats. Not sure how this is less fun than getting a large cheese bot farm setup.

Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

I haven't used any bots and I've got a 20k stat titan, so no, you don't have to bot to get it, it's just an excuse for noobs

pretty sure botting questing would be as hard as botting dungeons

Botting dungeons is not hard. I am sure that people would do it if there was enough reason to do it.

I don't run with your group, and don't know how you guys play. I can believe that this is possible, but I do have to ask, if you've traded for anything you've used, are you sure the players you traded with didn't bot it? If so, it's still contributing.

That stated, it's not hard to get here without botting. It just takes dedication and time. I can well believe ozzy, or anyone else, has gotten to where their at without anyone in the chain using bots. World 3 we had people with enough STR to hand bash brick walls six months in. (This is something I learned after the fact.) If that was possible then with much more limited qualities (iron was at best a bit over q200 when world ended), what is doable now with the qualities grown so significantly?

Isn't getting infinite health an enough reason to do it? Or the fact that 1 heart container goes for like 150 gq in CF? Well, I'm probably answering to a troll post but still, there is a lot of reasons to bot dungeons.

I'm actually pretty sure that these people used bots to get that stuff. Still, I had fun looting gear from my enemies and selling it at CF and then buying food for the money and getting higher and higher stats while botting that food wouldn't be fun, "stats" though aren't just attributes, it's also unarmed or meele combat that later this world was mostly raised by questing and I'm pretty sure that noone was botting questing yet and I don't think that it would ever happen because it's just too easy to get ganked.

This idea has been suggested before and I agree.
But stop saying the cap should be 300.
It should be around 4000-5000.
Wouldn't want the market to be completely dead for food trade.
I would also like to see other stats having an importance in the basic fighter alt which would increase the diversity of the different foods on the market and increase my business opportunities.

That's an interesting point... Why is 300 the suggested stat cap? Why not a higher number? Or a lower one?

Can someone enlighten me as to the reason for this number I keep hearing batted around?
jorb: I don't want *your* money. You are rude and boring. Go away.
Sevenless: We already know real life has some pretty shitty game mechanics, it's why we're here instead.
Avu: The end is near it has finally come to pass: I agree with Lunarius...
Shubla: There are also other reasons to play this game than to maximize your stat gain.
