We won't see the sprawling kingdoms we saw last couple of worlds... nothing against it, but they did get massive. I think there's an animated gif of the progress of w9 loftar did? I forget now.

your shit getting pushed in by factions doesn't have anything to do with continents, before factions could easily dominate the world, if anything, now with continents it will be actually harder for them to dominate the world like in previous worlds, now it is actually easier to get away from them than before - just move to other continent.

if there are no exclusive resources on different landmasses then there are no real pragmatic reasons for kingdoms/populations separated by sea to interact with each other.

people will anyway eventually because it would be boring not to. but currently from purely a game mechanic view what we have is more like multiple small gameworlds, they all have the same biomes etc.

cliffs generation should have been fixed for w10 map, why is it still so awful leading to un-enterable caves etc.

Meteorites?

Being separated with an ocean will make harassing people without knarrs easier. Thats a form of interaction.

Well it just seems every major power spawned on one continent, everyone keeps stopping by no matter how far I go.

travel 2 the edges of the map and stay away from water

I think with all this ocean world, it would be good one of:

1. to be able to hearth while swimming... (we already could while laying down, why not swimming ?)
2. instead of drown to death you will be moved ashore, your items added to debris items pool (the random things you found on beach)
and you get some heavy injury
like awake naked and with 20 hhp

i know the deep water = dead
is because the game don't forgive mistakes... but it also restrics players from feel free to discover oceans...

To be honest I don't feel that way. From the very first moment I saw the new greenish ocean water I felt free to explore it. Even in a dugout. I also felt that it's magnificent and dangerous, so I should not be too cocky about venturing too far into the deep green-blue in a hollow log. Makes sense to want a proper vessel for proper ocean voyage. What's the point otherwise?

And considering that to drawn seems to be the current meta for suicide I am not sure tuning it down will be met 100% positively...

i did explore ocean too, but with my twink

as i wasn't sure if boat will break under me in deep (but not ocean) water

i didn't fear bears same as i fear to be disconnected in deep water, as i don't know what will be when i will log in again...
what i i couldn't log in right after and someone will destroy my dugout ?

a simple disconnect will cause my death

even most aggressive animals is not this dangerous

even meet aggresive player give me chance to live, caev in, infected sore, bear... all the danger is this game give u second chance

but u log in without boat, or it is destroyed.... and no second chance at all...

just left me with 10 hhp, i will heal over 2 weeks, but why drown to death ?

in all hollywood films everyone is found on shore after been "lost in ocean"

suicide is for alts only, this is not fair type of play, no need to protect it
