its been 4 days and has not gone away. Your assumption that it will clear on its own is incorrect.

Because you keep getting more of them. They go away on their own.

It's probably the same one. It is random if it goes up or down. It can heal in a day, it can take a week. Watch your total HHP. If it's getting dangerously low (< half the infected wounds), think about cleaning them... and use the highest qualtiy product you can make.

had a 40 pt infected wound myself last world... took almost a week for it to completely heal, but it healed.

Well, I think I saw only Magicman talking about that. Might be a grand scheme to promote his future soap shop for all we know... :)

hey! don't spoil the secret!!

The reality is... I just don't see infected wounds as a threat unless you need your HHP back sooner rather than waiting a few days. And then it's a very fast means of healing them compared to the normal healing items.

Infected Sore sucks

Postby beardhat » Sat Feb 09, 2019 2:29 pm

Simply put, infected sore sucks, especially when many early game wounds the best way to heal them is with leeches, so you're baiting people to go out to a swamp to get leeches to heal their wounds, only to find their wounds are now infected sores.

Now the way you get infected sores make sense, but the early game solution to curing it, namely soap, is way too time consuming to get, and you can only use the soap to clean a single wound point per use, and usually you get 3 uses per bar.

Can you please just make it so soap applied to infected sores will cause them to be 'treated' like any other medicine, with the chance that if you go swamping again they'll become untreated? Because holy hell infected sores will kill any early game character trying to learn their combat moves for the first time.

Use a healthy alt to grab leeches, or invest in making a ton of soap. Once you realize that soap, for all it's efforts and high cost, is basically an instant heal, you'll learn to love the times when a 55 blade kiss turns into 4 x 4 infected sores.
W3 to W6 - Blockland. Special mentions: New Avalon, Tarn of Hotdog, Red October.
W7 - Elvenia, til we all got lazy.
W8 - Cult of R'lyeh, til the deeps called us back.
W9 - Tartarus, til death/wizards came for the land itself.
W10 - ???, ruined and forgotten.

What could be a better game-design than using alts to solve every problem

Mb the solution is to make game more alt friendly, so we will be able to be more brutal towards individual characters ¦] .

Have you eaten enough to have yourself in the healing range of hunger?

Do you sleep in a bed?

Not doing those things can slow, maybe even prevent, healing.

How many threads on this topic do we need?
