So people have gained 4-5 mil LP in less than a week? So catching up isnt possible and if you dont enjoy doing quests you cant compete in the game? I thought the game was about slow but steady progression through curios and shit but i guess not. And now you cant take out or remove the system without completely fucking over the people who didnt nolife abuse it.

Awesome. Great system

between this and the mine related changes i welcome world 12 to fix this. Theres no point in playing now if i could at any point run into someone who, despite starting and playing the same amount of time, has 20x the LP as me because they do quests or started them before i did.

I know it wont happen though, probably no actual helpful changes to it will. Infact i'm so sure of this that i'll bet 1 year of Gold subscription that there will be no world reset to fix these problems, and 1 year silver that even without a world reset they wont fix this massive gap in any meaningful way.

Honestly, between all of this and the botting crisis that haven has become. I would just rather pay that 1 year gold and silver to have my own private server where i can play with people who want to enjoy the slow and relaxing progression. Rather than all of this...

This is another shard to split the community, reset it complaints come from the 1%, Don't reset it complaints from the 90% that is behind. Someone Somewhere is loosing and it's losing BIG.

Hey, thanks a lot.

I'm not apodictically opposed to the idea of private servers, but it's a lot of work, and I don't think we're at a point where that's what we want to aim for. Running the server is presently not a user-friendly experience, and converting it to something marketable would mean, again, a fair bit of doing.

Thanks for the breakdown, however. I'm not excluding it entirely.

This is the only solution to the endless complaints, people get to play how they want. Mod out the things they don't like: Questing, Mining Support changes. The point is you can take the game you love and mould it to your play style

The way it is right now, you Have to be only questing on your "main" character.

Dont build your town up, Bots will do that.

Dont make your farms, Bots will do that.

Dont bother with curios, there a waste of time.

Dont bother with playing 99% of the game.

If you're not questing 100% of the time you are playing the game, you're behind. And if you spent some of that time doing something you enjoy that isnt questing, someone who spent that time questing can come along with 10x your LP and stats and fart in your general direction and your gameplay is over.

So why play?

Wouldn't be opposed to some time limits on them. There's a fine balance to be struck between everything being locked behind time, in which case effort doesn't matter, and nothing being on a timer, in which case effort matters too much. I agree that it's not optimal if you feel you have to quest all the time.

I think that it's not the issue of too many quests it's the rewards. They are too good.

Remove LP and Hunger reduction and you still get the gildings, Xp and local qualities get higher.

Increase XP
Give a chance to heal a wound (great for new players)
local growth speed
Increased rare spawns for x time

Change the rewards that force people to feel like they need to do it to compete.

Personally i dont like the idea of making them "Dailies" or something similar with a timer.

IF quests are going to reward LP i think it should be, at the very least, Capped by the Total LP gain from curios and discoveries, meaning that if you have 100,000 LP from curios and you do quests to gain 100,000 LP, in order to gain another single point of LP you'd have to study more curios. This way people still have to make and consume curios and play the game normally and the worst that quests do is double someones total potential LP rather than multiply it by dozens.

However even that considered id rather they dont give LP
