Toxic mushroom clouds, psychedelic cave fungus that you can make drinks from, giant cave spiders, bears living in Lvl1 caves, troll villages, lost societies and treasure, sunken ruins you have to use the god damn diving bell to grab artifacts from. Waterfalls and crystal caverns, fumaroles and hot springs. Giant blind cave salamanders that charge you and crash into walls causing cave ins. There's so much potential for the underground.

Sir, that's what we're here for.

We sure do. It's a distant goal, but a goal nonetheless.

Have you considered that a Q race, with its unidirectional growth of numbers, will be a major obstacle on the way to your goal of an eternal, resetless game world? Well, technically you can constantly adjust all the basic, naturally occurring and new-player Q values, but... finding the way to sufficiently adjust all of them will still be a significant problem.

Without commenting on whether this is a good or bad idea, the hypothetical "forever world" should probably have the ability to generate these if needed. As in they start with the 9 we have now and developers can add new ones without breaking or resetting the world. Unless tool is super expensive, it is much better to have one and choose to not use it than be locked into not having a tool.

I would also like to note that without the increased quality of ore finds the average anvil begins to take 200,000 black ore to crit the bars high enough as most high ql viens get mined out fast. Most veins provide 1-3% of this in the volume of ore.

"Running out of top quality ore" sounds like an actual scenario that could happen, compared to "running out of ore, period."

At this point in the world most big boi players won't even bother logging on for anything less than a hat/token (even if, because most market owners are swimming in those). So you are basically looking for decent ql feldspar from a bunch of hermits.
And it's not like that many people have reached -9 ore are able to mine there, other than big factions that can actually funnel str food to their miners.

I own MoleMarket, anyone can be at l9 now.

the issue us l9 has a limited amount and it's hard to find good feldspar. Lower levels make this better.

Finding an insane feldspar node is so difficult that it's more enjoyable to just not even try. Also now that clay is such a large part of the anvil/hammer quality and feldspar is 1/3rd of the clay quality it's a huge loss in anvil/hammer quality just not having good feldspar. Spiraling enough for a worthwhile upgrade is also extremely difficult when you're using lower feldspar for the new anvil than you used for the previous one.

I was hoping that with the re-addition of spiraling the industry growth would play out better over time, however, it mostly just went from mining endlessly for the top quality ore to spiral to mining endlessly for the best feldspar. I guess this system still feels more enjoyable slightly, however, it'd be nice if it were a lot better.

I think the world does work better if it were reset every 4 months, however, considering their goal is an infinite world they will definitely need to change how it works to allow for further progression. I don't think more mineholes with increasing minimal/maximum caps is necessarily a bad idea, however, as others pointed out it'd be kind of boring if it were just a copy/paste and there wasn't new content along with it.
