Just make it 100% F2P with premium for $10 - $15 a month?
Premium needs to give some perks for it to be worthwile, but nothing too overpowered.
Also add cosmetics.

I agree that cosmetics would be a good idea, also a way to earn some extra money, I sure wouldn't mind paying for some fancy clothes :3

How about make rare dropped items, that could be sold on auction for real cash while you can take commision fee.

On the brightside, if the server is always this stable the free time will last all month.

They gotta put food on the table but big games like eve online charge the same amount and the amount of content to learn the skills is 14+years of gameplay. I think its to steep but they should have been more open about it maybe then everyone would react better

If this is for real, I'd like to point out to everyone defending the particular pay to play model that most players already throw fits over permadeath, and almost all of those are going to be entirely unwilling to pay to die. How good an idea is this going to seem when townmates and neighbors and other such people quit over dying and not wanting to pay money to a game where they are trolled very hard. I would want very much to pay to play this game, its a good one, always has been, but I really don't like dumping in huge amounts of work in a village, small as all but one of the ones I've been in have been, only to see everyone else quit because one died, the other was that ones girlfriend, and the third one was the first ones friend, and none of them wanted to pay for a game where someone gets permakilled. Its very easy to say its worth 10 or 15 dollars or whatever, because it is, but is it going to be worth playing with so few people in a few months?
