Yes, we get it. You can't accept stamina, energy, and hunger being separate.
Really though, just eat up and stop running in the forest.

You can troll or weep all you want.
If (this will not happend definitely but let's use some imagination) your 'realism' thingy would be brought back - you'll come here in a month weeping 10 times harder cuz' some dude with 900 STR/AGI/UA would come and level your base to the ground within an hour.
There are hardcore players. They can ruin the game of majority. This is a fact.
Restraining them while keeping the title of 'hardcore' to the game is a thing which requires some thought, balance and compromise.

Why is it so hard to accept that you can have your stomach filled with non-nutritious junk?

Puking mechanics when? Eat all kinds of crappy food and puke it out to regain lower hunger bar.

The thing you need to understand is that hunger is not really hunger. Let's just call it something else for now, like "spamming food". OK. So now think of Energy as "You need eat" bar. When you do stuff like run, or chop trees, it drains your stamina. When you regain stamina, it drains your "You need to eat". When "You need to eat" is empty, you die. Some foods fill your need to eat more than others. Stop eating stuff that fills less than 100%, because in general, doing that fills the "spamming food" bar too much and reduces your FEP Multiplier. Also, eat at a table. We're trying to have a civilization here.

'Hunger' should be renamed 'appetite' or something along that to reflect what it actually does.
But this is like requesting bridges, just without the many years that particular request comes up for.
