Why not add an option to eat food just for the energy.
For example: I have a food item that has FEPs attached to it and a hunger percentage as well, however I can eat it without receiving FEPs or hunger penalty, while only restoring energy.

Either add an extra button to eat from a table just for energy or make a separate food category with food items that neither award FEPs, nor it affects hunger, while awarding the energy.

Edit: For either of my 2 suggestions, satiations are not to be affected.


Perhaps a right-click---> Gorge?

Or a 'gorge' button added to the table.

Nobody would pay for an alt to dig. So they will play with their only character and swithc activities when energy is low and hunger is used

i think you have a cognitive disconnect

you don't need to pay for an alt

you give it a pickaxe, axe and go make it do the thing

You realize you can just make a new character on your account, with the same exact benefits? The whole point is that the hunger system would destroy your character progression on your main, so you make an alt.

True until 1 account is not limited to 1 char. It's doable in like... 1 line of code)

While they do lots of bad:
Alts ruin all the 'rpg' stuff, the atmosphere, all that old good dice&paper DnD things.
Alts are sources of numerous abuses.
Free alts make botting hard to punish.

alts exist for a very clear reason:

this game is almost a full time job

people are not willing nor interested in losing hundreds of hours of work and progress, despite being a permadeath game, for the "adventure" of the ordeal

this is a competitive environment so your stupid ass ideas of "just go fish and explore" don't cut it because the fucking russians an hour away are going to shit on your dainty idea

i am not going to take a crafting alt with 600 base attributes and weeks of constant LP feeding into a fight "just cuz"

the demand on this game is high, which is fine, but nobody is willing to make that sacrifice, and rightly so

i'm not going to fuck up my FEP gains by using my crafter to mine out an area I can just afk 5 alts into

so, until that roadblock is fixed, and it never will be, alts will continue to exist because nobody is going to fucking truck a 600 psyche alt into any dangerous situation

This is the most developed and balanced idea to prevent alt abuse, yet people still find ways to hate it.

Was fun to read :)
Especially like people try to combat anti-alt mechanic with more alts.
IMO it may work if well-implemented.
After person gets crazy with his 4 farmer alts 5 miner alts and 3 other alts - their irl tedium bar builds up with aforementioned consequences :lol:
