Now the way you get infected sores make sense, but the early game solution to curing it, namely soap, is way too time consuming to get, and you can only use the soap to clean a single wound point per use, and usually you get 3 uses per bar.

Can you please just make it so soap applied to infected sores will cause them to be 'treated' like any other medicine, with the chance that if you go swamping again they'll become untreated? Because holy hell infected sores will kill any early game character trying to learn their combat moves for the first time.

Some wounds are more efficient to just go for a swim with and not come back.

It may be beneficial to sticky topics or otherwise make reoccurring topics available and obvious to everyone. If you need assistance with this endeavour I may be of assistance as I am a web developer by trade.

don't throw leeches away.

I'm pretty sure that if you leave leeches in a container they unbloat, at least that was how they worked last time I played.

This.

Doesn't help when you go fishing and it pulls your leeches before it pulls any other bait in your inventory.

Today I learned you don't have to be anywhere near a swamp to acquire infected sores. Discuss?

No. Any untreated wound can become infected. Swamps seem to magically do it quickly and almost guaranteed. (I have one wound I've been trying like mad to get to turn because I don't want to waste gauze on it.)
