Why rush credos so hard? You can't catch anyone who has an army of bots (in qualities, stats, attributes whatever). I play in my pleasure, if difficult quests come across to me, I wait a week or two (as with “visit mine level ...”) however I’m ready to wait a month to get what the holy RNG wants me to do. But as practice shows, there are no impossible quests, I take them as a challenge and not a punishment. Peace 8-)

It feels terrible for most people who have to catch 45 abyss gazers to get to level 4 in their fisherman credo that they are only doing to get to the later credos and have there village mate finish the entire credo by handing 11 asp to a talking boulder. Its not a matter of rushing the credo it's a matter of your effort not being properly rewarded because some quests are ridiculously hard while others are laughably easy.

Isn't that the reason why abandoning is available...? You don't need to do every quest you hit if you judge it's too hard.

Bro I’ve done forager and I’m still stuck on quarryman the only reason I know what the credos are like further down the line is because of players that continuously abandon until they get quests they can do. You have already done 4 credos yourself and I have only completed one its entirety so don’t tell me I’m rushing because it just pisses me off more knowing how far ahead some other people are.

I am not talking specifically about you, but about the situation in general, which I observe in the game among people with whom I know or play together.

Well ok, but how does that address any of the concerns I’ve posted about so far. You yourself have said that you didn’t skip over a sinlge quest and you have completed more credos than me, that is RNG working in your favour and against mine. There is no skill factor, there is no effort factor, there is no time factor, there is only luck. Luck and abandoning quests.

You are right I don’t know and they may have all been the beginner credos but I will just re-iterate once again that I despise the questing system already, I hate how we are forced to go through these boring tasks because the benefits are far too useful to pass up and I really, truly detest that questing is such an important source of LP and experience. Do you guys remember why curios were implemented? Because I sure do and it wasn’t so we could get new mechanics that defeated the purpose of curio and study desk implementation.

I would absolutely love to be able to limit my exposure to brain numbing activities as much as possible.

Wrong. By that time you can buy higher q things to catch up faster.

Also when a game has RNG someone is going to be the biggest loser. Sorry it had to be you this time.

There is many way to mitigate this problem:
  • Make RNG high only in area of game that is not critical to competition.
  • Reduce variance between good roll and bad roll in term of how effective it is.
  • Do not use true RNG, and instead use system that implements changing odds based on previous outcomes.

Having people be able to by-pass credo quests by spending LP would completely ruin one of the few things that make a difference between main characters and LP-sucking alts.

You could just buy your way through credos, no matter how expensive they would be. In the long run you could have all credos on an alt that never did a single quest, just by throwing tons of LP and int food onto it.

If you don't like questing, or can't find the will to go through it, just don't do it. Nobody forces you to do it.

As for those complaining about the farmer credo: it's like the easiest credo ever. You need 0 skills, only a large field. Just because you can't rush through it, doesn't make it bad. On the contrary, I like it.
I'd rather harvest 100 peppercorn than risk my life to go on the other side of the continent to find a piece of marble to deliver to a rock.
