imo: there is another problem, when you need double you power you need more and more food (10 40 90 160 250) and time or salt.
10->40 is ok when food provides 1-10 FEP (~ 30*3=90 food items => 10 per day => 9days),
but when you wanna 160->250 and food still gives 10-20 FEP... (90*10=900 crafted food and you still can eat 10 per day => 3month for same boost as at first 9 days) //here hunger becomes huge problem if you wanna dig dipper and faster
so the longer the game, the longer it will take to maintain the speed of development (and players mostly leave after few month)
and without x30 FEP boost (subscribe, drinks, hunger, symbel, pepper, truffle) game becomes tedium shit, where you gain 1 stat per day and it means less and less, every day

Good job, Stasik. After 4 pages of arguing about your own different problems, you've finally come where we started this thread! Well done!

i said if you remove hunger like drinks, you will have less FEP multiplyer. which is already low for deep mine exploring.
and when your mine will ask 600STR you will cry that all types of str food you've collect provides less 600fep... and you'll be able to raise your str by 1 per day with 50% chance.
so i think that you shouldn't ask to remove FEP multiplyer instead adding new one
if you love to spend months to do 1of90 stupid quest or gain 10of300 stats, dont sure everyone likes it too

We've been arguing for a proper balancing of food at the same time... those of us who have been trying to encourage jorbtar to look at the necessity of having the hunger bar there. Legacy (world 3), with q10 ore and at best q100 or so kilns, got people that could hand bash brick walls within six months (about 4500 STR IIRC). With satiations, current food values, and the current symbel rules, we probably won't get that far in six months, but 600 doesn't seem like much because we have so much better targets for high quality food than the q200 bears we were limited to early. (To note, the cheese didn't spiral up as fast, either.)

I get your counterargument, but I think you're underestimating the players, and the bigger picture of potential changes that could be made in replace of the current hunger mechanics that do nothing but benefit a few.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.
