I was stupid when I said this and now I'd like to believe that I am less stupid now.
Random animal quality will just mean 1 billion corpses left all over the world, HOWEVER maybe we could have random qualities for those rare beings at least?

I mean I have checked 7 individual angler spots so far and I can't find one above q150, while some other guy has been studying q300 angler lights for who knows how many weeks now. This is bullshit, I want 15m LP and q400 bones, mulch and 1200 str from a single unfair advantage too.

I think the animal node quality range is simply too large. I'd say it should be limited between -25% and +25% of base quality. For larger differences, I'd go with giving different continents different base qualities.

I wonder if you'd be complaining here if you had q300?

Which leads to the issue that many established players don't want changes that make the game better, because they'd lose the advantage over others that they have.

I did complain when I had q250 angler node right under my village last world, knowing how many q70 spots were out there, and how I literally did nothing to make sure I settle right above a q250 angler pool. I guess I shouldn't complain about making a game equal for all players.
In the end it doesn't affect me since I have no chance against a big faction either way ¯\_(ツ)_/¯, but it would be nice to at least have half of their UA so I can run to my airlock without getting KITO'd for 80% red.

I'd rather just buff moose and bears up to cave angler level than nerf cave angler, it's one of my favorite things in the game, and I get excited whenever I see a new body of water underground at what quality it will be

250q cave angler is nice lazy str food on the side though.
