There's sort of an exploit to open fence gate like shown in the OP image. I've reported it to Jorb in PMs but it's non-trivial to fix and you still get visitor as intended, so it's not that game-breaking.

To prevent this exploit, build fence gate like this (pretend that the stones are properly built palisade.)

if your inner palisade isnt fully vclaimed, or you have an other exit(minehole, cave) people can just go intoo your v claim, lose the buff and then raid you,
currently the issue stands , than you can somewhat extend your hitbox via horses, and you actually have to care about how you set up that shitty fence too,

but in an fully vlaimed closed off system, where every minelevel also is palisaded and claimed pickets only really stop animals this is true
