A man in his quest for justice. I dont understand why they didnt fix it. Hunger is basically a mechanic to halt progress for nolifers and you can circumvent that by dying.. its pretty bad game design. We will help Forrest Gump walking for peace

Considering how much else this game is prone for try-hards... it's just a game mechanics :D
In a nutshell... is there a big difference for a hermit if somebody else got crazy stats by botting and years of planning of most effective development plan to win the arms race... or it was death leaps?
from casual gamer - same shit.

Even if one would post a detailed guide into how this mechanics works, how properly apply it - will it make any difference?
doubt it.

for l33t tier players - get gut
for rest - embrace the suck
HnH never changes :)

It's about principle, perceived difference, and unfun, unintended mechanics.

hungercide to get a tangible advantage, and also ruining the perma-death aspect of the game: I sleep
credocide to get minor, mostly LARPy parks all on one character instead of using alts: real shit

While you have a system which returns any percent of the value, gained from the benefits of another system, which is reset on the suicide - you will have the same issue.

Its a race between - how much stats character can gain that loosing 40% (or even less?) of them will justify time wasted (if any) and gains due to hunger loss.

so from one point of view.. you have a limitation\slowing down factor which is designed to slow character advancement somehow
from another - you want to lighten the burden of permadeath.

the only way I see is that hunger(food efficency bonus) should be used up faster, definitely scaling up with satiety... and fading away with RL time.

The whole satiety/hunger system is here to prevent this exact thing

Jorb simply ignores the fact that players bypass his system.

The same way people were bypassing the siege system.
They added:
- A claim power mechanic, that goes from 1% to 100% over the span of one month. Siege engines depend on this power level.
- Siege chess
- Drying times for claims
- Drying times for palisades
- Ability to seal corner posts
- Extra time required to siege a base, by using the numen points to improve the claim power

In the end people would just do a pathetic piece of shit exploit, which literally skipped all of the above.

Now it's just the same shit for this stupid suicide system. And it could all be instantly solved, without having to reinvent the wheel, by inheriting hunger.
