seems pretty simple, how can devs say bullshit that trade > pvp while the game looks how it looks and all industry leads where it leads? and people who pvp are only interested in killing other people who pvp, and wont kill noobs until provoked

The problem is this game is designed with PVP, or player interaction in general, in mind to solve a lot of issues that would have to be solved with arbitrary code and mechanics for a non-PVP game, it would be like redesigning the game from the ground up.

These are all just meaningless guesses based on everyone's personal experiences with development. The only way to settle this is by actually doing a test server and comparing statistics:

Avu seems so emotionally unstable I'm worried for him. Normal people shouldn't be so emotionaly invested into computer games, seek help friend.

They are related though, nidbanes, debuffs are there to punish murder and PVP in general, on top of the siege system (aka, no more palibashing, which I don't mind so much )

All those mechanics are to make player interaction more positive, without forcing it

PvP is essential to the game in my opinion, however perma-death isn't. I'm sure we'd see more enjoyment of the game's PvP if people weren't so worried about losing invested characters before they can even begin to comprehend how to do it.
The barrier for entry into the world of Hafen PvP is massive, the learning curve is Pythagoreanly steep with the punishment for not winning your first fight being to have your character deleted.
No wonder several people have such a harsh view on the very idea of PvP in the game. I love PvP, I hate Hafen PvP.

People interested only in PvP can build themself walled arenas so even if there are scents, none will get outside without inside job.
Because there's A LOT alters who like to kill noobs without any provocation, just for fun, because they can. Now, they at least have to use shit alts for that which gives more possibilities to defend themself.

i was talking about the ramifications of adding another server you dip shit it affects everyone and has nothing to do with wether or not they should or shouldnt keep the nidbane and scent systems
