try making a decent cheese factory and still have to make glue for every cupboard you use, and then for every other activity a big base requires... this is a low end player bias... i have buildings i still need to make cupboards because theres other things to do, and even cupboards takes time to make

problem is HH lets you play the game on your terms, so small time players think they need more difficulty, when they could create their own difficulty without making other playing styles impossibru

The word factory should suggest there should be some capital investment. Wooden boards are damn cheap for one of the best sources of inventory in the game.

you can create your own capital investment in this game... it's much more flexible deal since the content is so big... this is a game you simple cannot take a good break from, because when you're back it's all gone... the least you can do is make it relaxing to play and not a pain at every step

Because cupboards are one of the best sources of space in the game they should be made cheap? How is that fair, because you said so?

Cupboards should simply deteriorate quite quickly when not in a house or being used as a transport container. The last patch was a good start, I think decay should be added to the lower levels to clean them of cupboards.

And yes: I myself have used them quite extensively for storage underground and think they make mass-storage way to easy, leading to unhealthy gameplay styles.

Containers should be removed from the game. We already have stockpiles and they are fine. Why do we need cupboards, lc? Bake some food - eat from oven, smelt some metals - keep bars in smelter, and so on. Probably only wooden box can be left in game, they are so cute and aestetic.
Give a man a game engine and he delivers a game. Teach a man how to make a game engine and he never delivers anything.

-.-

This thread still alive.
The glue is a bad idea.
The tech level is ok.

If you want to make storage more interesting.
Make a way to store chest atop of each other or some dumb idea.
Make a larger object then cupboard that cost some real work.
Just leave the freaking cupboard alone.
Just don't allow people on horses to pick them up.
WARNING! MY ENGISH SUCKS.

agree, but i suppose that interesting storage will be available no sooner than the new object controls object system will be ready. It can take a year. But usable cupboards without last bad changes need right now.
