I'm still wondering when the hivemind is going to start contributing to the thread topic in the original post and stop derailing it. It would be far better for such nonsense to happen in a topic that was intended for it. These forums are an amazing case study of hivemind phenomena

I'm having fun. Things being unfun (within reason) but leading to a sense of accomplishment are ok.

Arguably that's runescape in its entirety. Almost every single activity in runescape on its own "isn't fun", but many people play and love the game because of how it comes together.

I think most of us definitely have fun playing the game like you do and that's why were here, it's just certain things could be made more fun and that's the intention I had with my post. And to further my point, why have a critique and idea forum for suggestions to improve Haven, if those certain things in Haven are intentionally supposed to not be fun? The forum & our posts & threads are necessary for the developers to have feedback to improve upon what the playerbase is telling them about their game. I would strongly disagree that anything in a game needs to intentionally not be fun, as a game developer you have many ways to do things, but the key is keeping it within the vision you had for your game. It is clear the developers have a vision of realism, things being tough and a sense of accomplishment, but in the list of things I laid out they have not balanced it enough with the fun factor. It's the fun factor that determines if people will actually even play a game or not so in my opinion it is the most important aspect of any game. In fact it is the fun factor that is the main reason people quit this game, of course they come back each world, but the majority of the playerbase leaves each world solely due to the fun factor and then ends up begging on the forums for a world reset. That's a fatal flaw to this beautiful game that we as people who enjoy this game should try to improve upon, regardless of if we ourselves stop playing each world or not. Even if the developers decided to change everything in the list I made, this is only the start to discussions about the fun factor of this game, we need more discussions to improve upon the reasons people stop playing and how to improve them without ruining the developers vision for their game.
