[*] Flax's quality raises by ~10Q/week, which would be a pretty healthy rate for anvilQ to rise. A ~1:1 anvilQ increase:FlaxQ ratio wouldn't be hard to achieve by changing some formulas
It's more like 6-7q a week now. Top quality flax is like 360ish I believe, maybe a little higher. The world has been out for a year. Also if you count the big quality bonus you get from the initial WWW's it's even slower. In my opinion this growth is extremely slow and boring. It'd also be more efficient to just barely play for 1-2+ months waiting for your flax to jump up a reasonable amount to then make a new anvil.
Also the catchup mechanic on flax is UNBELIEVABLY trash, the odds of getting a top Q WWW is incredibly low and then the odds of it being flax is quite low too. I think if we're looking at a great catchup mechanic adding new mineholes as part of the pyre cooldown is better. They should also increase the MINIMUM quality on lower levels significantly and remove the need for pyres completely once the global CD has past. This way some shitter can just start super late world, get a base established, get some STR, etc, then just fly down the mineholes and mine where all the big bois are mining with a high enough minimum that what they produce from it will be close in quality to the big bois.
The lack of top bone issue can be mitigated with increasing trolls the lower you go too, many people already use trolls as their top quality bones anyways.
