Alphas and Betas are test period, they are made to let player discover bugs and let developers fix them, you cannot ask money to someone who is helping you fix your game, I would understand if this game was without bugs etc, but this is an alpha and you are asking people to pay you monthly to help you fix the game...

What particular aspects would improve because of sub money in the alpha?
I'm not sure that if everyone who tried to play over the last 24 hours became a ten dollar a month sub that even then you could hire another programmer.
I can just hardly imagine the bugs would vanish because two Swedes wallets got heavier.

Ok.

They certainly won't vanish if we stop developing the game entirely, do they?

Well Jorb, just curious, but why did you decide this specific model and why was it left till after release to tell us about it. Not trying to antagonize you or anything like that, I'm just curious.

I would have been more than happy to had you not just pulled this shit out of the blue. There was no need for secrecy.

Pay to win: It's a pretty universally negative concept, right?

What is H&H all about; to its very core and implemented within virtually every single task?

Time.

Time management = Whether or not you succeed in the H&H world. If you don't have enough time, you cannot be on top. Therefore, more time = more success. Free players are at such an incredible disadvantage that playing free may as well not even exist. And based on that, this game is not "pay to play", it is pay to win by definition. This is bananas.

I've been around for a while... as you can see. I have watched this game fester at the bottom of a niche genre, never taking any steps to improve its most glaring flaws. And now it charges a subscription equal to World of Warcraft, a billion dollar game (although, not so much anymore) that has been worked on and improved dramatically for over 10 years. Haven and Hearth charges $15/month and the servers are currently down. It is definitely still riddled with bugs. There are definitely still abusable mechanics that will put certain players leagues ahead of others. For 15 shekelz a month.

How do I know without even playing Haven 2.0? Because I've seen seatribe's work before. I truly can't comprehend this devil may care attitude that the developers are having about the whole situation right now. "We didn't think it was that big of a deal". Well, it's glaringly obvious that just about all of your player base DOES think it's a big deal. These shenanigans, I swear to god. The ride never ends, I am looking forward to lurking more and watching the rest of this train wreck.

To those that spent years shoving cheese and sausages up your virtual asses until you were so swole that you could rip apart palisades with your eyeballs - How will you cope now, I wonder? Because there is no way that mom and dad will pay for you to play your game all day and all night. Working IRL to afford the ridiculous sub means less time in game. Less efficiency. THE PLOT THICKENS.

I'm going back to my cave now. RIP

There was no secrecy. We just didn't tell you. There's a difference. Also, what difference does it really make? Whenever we told you it would still now be the 29th of August, and you'd be in the same spot you are now.

I'd love to abandon this bastard tongue entirely and speak a cultured language like Swedish, but unfortunately you are too uneducated to really understand a word of that, so I can't. QQ

If you expect me to entertain a civil discussion with you about anything then you need to step up your game.
