No, mother nature does the catch. You just sit here for X times hoping for one to show up and grab whats not yours.

And also you didn't prove that fishes are caught by tidepool, it might be that opening the tidepool actually creates fishes inside, so no fishes actually could enter tidepool because there is no possibility to do so.

Good example. Schrodinger's cat similarity. Who's to say the fish didn't get generated by the person opening the tidepool. Cannot be proven or disproven

Tide pool is phenomenon which exist in the real live. To some extent this game attempt to model real live phenomenon. In real live, tide pool is not progenitor. There is no reason to believe that it is not also true for in game universe.

In real life, sure. This isn't real life, this is a video game. There are thousands of inconsistencies with real life. You are making an apples to oranges comparison

What is real life's equivalent of quest credit? Sence of accomplishment?

You can catch a thing with extension of yourself. For example, with net or fishing rod.

The only difference from normal fishing is you don't have to use a tool to gather it.

By the time the fish is in the tide pool, it is already caught. How a man can catch a thing that is already caught?
Omnipotent wrote:I didn't make the lake, the fish was sitting there waiting to be taken. Why does that count?

The fish lives in the lake.
