P2P plan

Thoughts on the further development of Haven & Hearth? Feel free to opine!

Um, durr? The game is quite obviously infinitely more polished than the old H&H ever was, or could ever hope to be.

I disagree. I'd rather be playing the old Haven and Hearth. The art syle was more aesthetically pleasing and things of interest stuck out more. Without the minimap I wouldn't be able to tell what is regular, useless flora and what is a curiosity/other item.

I'd be willing to overlook the inferior art style though if I could buy the game outright without having to mess around with monthly subscription fees.

This game is niche, I don't know what you're trying to gain from this, or who it's being targeted at which makes me question how much thought actually went into this elaborate plan.

I would even prefer shitty little microtransaction cosmetics over this system.

This game you've made has been indeed a source of a ton of fun, great events and happenings, and all that jazz. But you have to realize that now-a-days, people aren't willing to pay lodsamone for something

So what is it that you are angry about? The fact that we aren't giving you the game for free?

Seems like a strange thing to be upset over.

Two points to make here:

1.) I'm not mad about that or anything of the sort. I was asking throughout my post on why such a high price for the thing. People have already said they're willing to pay...just not that much for the thing. And I'm sure you've gotten at least a good hundred PMs by now from Russians on why they especially are upset by this too.

2.) I'm hoping you have read through my post on why I, and a lot of people are worried about where things are going, and especially why so many seem upset by such a situation. Please, none of us have ever been trying to tell you "GIB GAEM FOR FREE" at all, no matter how upset some of us may be about this. We just want things to work out with something that everyone can agree on, that's all.

I don't want to argue with you, but....

The reason why you don't like subscriptions is that you feel they force you to pay, no?

You'd rather see more of a free-to-play model, right?

Thus you are upset about not getting the game for free?

What do you perceive the alternative to be? How are we supposed to monetize recurring gameplay through other means? What would be an alternative, other than more of a direct item shop? Would you really prefer that?

this is pretty much how i think IMO it would play out
1.people who cant pay for the game play until they realize they cant compete against paying players(which makes the question why put free option anyway?),and in turn give up and move on to to doing something else
2.world then becomes empty whit a 50-150 sub base that slowly dies down, because as many have said"it wouldnt be the same atmosphere whit out the feeling of there being other people i the world"
3.game dies and loftar and jorb drown in there own Semitic tears

Many of us are asking for a one time lump fee for permanent play like every other crafting game out there.

With cosmetic items or just early game convenience yeah, I don't think you would hear a single soul complaining.

1 thing that would work for monetization right now.. Payable summoning! you could buy some cheap item like 1.99$ and use it on your friend on kin list. Then he receives message and he can accept or not accept summoning. If he accepts theres like 5 second ritual or something and then he teleports to you and then he gets some long timer so he cant do it again in a while.

He says, while quoting a post where I didn't say anything like that.
"The psychological trials of dwellers in the last times will be equal to the physical trials of the martyrs. In order to face these trials we must be living in a different world."
