I don't want to argue with you, but....

The reason why you don't like subscriptions is that you feel they force you to pay, no?

You'd rather see more of a free-to-play model, right?

Thus you are upset about not getting the game for free?

What do you perceive the alternative to be? How are we supposed to monetize recurring gameplay through other means? What would be an alternative, other than more of a direct item shop? Would you really prefer that?

Only viable alternative I could see is if subscription meant that people gained LP/Build things faster for said monthly fee. But that will skew the community even still.

So you guys pretty much dropped the ball on this one, but the beauty of game dev. (If you manage not to ruin your fan base) is that you learn from your mistakes.
Good luck in the future.

Why not a monthly LP cap instead of a playtime cap?

The way it is now I can see people making mule accounts just to do manual labor to feed their main characters to conserve its time.

If people try feed a character like that, I would imagine Jorb would add additional restrictions as a preventative.

I will be direct: 1 time Buy to play or even better - Buy character slots to play, I'm sure I would like to buy atleast 2 character slots and there are many people that would do that too, thank you.

It still has a chance to be salvaged, but some sort of announcement would need to be made sooner, rather than later. A lot of people, myself included, are still hanging around despite not playing waiting to see how this pans out, which is why if something got changed asap, while the bulk of the people that were extremely excited to jump into a new world, it would benefit everybody. Jorb still has every bodies attention for the time being, but that's not gonna last long at all at this rate.

Honestly, if it takes too long for something to change, you run the risk of people not wanting to play anyway because everybody else will have an advantage. That is the BEAUTY of a new world, that is why there was 2k+ people online yesterday, it's all for that initial rush.

Come on Jorb, tell us something we want to hear.

By the time you get your free game time, your shit is already destroyed. But wait! Pay $10 a month to the JPA or Jorb Protection Agency..to allow you to maintain your hard work!

This game you've made has been indeed a source of a ton of fun, great events and happenings, and all that jazz. But you have to realize that now-a-days, people aren't willing to pay lodsamone for something

So what is it that you are angry about? The fact that we aren't giving you the game for free?

Seems like a strange thing to be upset over.

The problem is the lack of polish in the game. It's just not set up to be something worth paying for, to be honest. The server uptime isn't good, the graphics still aren't good, and the gameplay is full of countless flaws. Not that it isn't an enjoyable game despite those, but I think a ton of us truly would prefer an incredibly polished game that we had to pay for. But, as of now, the game ISN'T polished so we don't want to pay. Make a game worth paying for, though, and you'll have my wallet and, honestly, many many new players too. I can only hope that, with the money you receive, you make something worth mine.

HnH was free for all of those years without any indication that it would suddenly become a subscription based game. I heard HnH 2 was going to be released into beta on the 28th, and I told a lot of my friends about it, we all came to check it out and, "boom" HnH2 is pay to play.

same thing happened to me and 2 of my friends(who never played Zion and Desert before)and they were both unintrested in playing it mainly becouse of the fee, even though they can both pay for it becouse it made you feel you HAVE to play all those hours or else your not getting your moneys worth
