Now you have stat caps. Praise J&L!

I didn't really advocate for those , and am not sure they're the way to go. The fact the number of characters is still unlimited still means botting will yield more disposable 200ish UA/MC chars than a real player can feasible raise on his own while staying sane.

I didn't do any of this things

I'd rather say i pass the game, since you cannot define clear winner in the sandbox

So what's now? Now botters don't have combat advantage because of uber stats, but they have more pleasure because they can fight more? Fuck the botters! They can have more fun then we!
Why do you play permadeath game if you like your character so much? Maybe it's time to find smth new?

I'm not saying you did this, just showing how ridiculous the "I'm using my skills" argument is.

You are right and not right at the same time. Depends on the situation and point of view. I think it is philosophical question

And having stat cap without any other content means that instead of a softcap of interest, there is a hardcap.

Also it won't stop botting. The amount of work they can imput is no less dramatically higher than a manual player, plus bots would eventually turn Haven into an RTS if someone is AI progamming savvy enough.

Well in this case it's clearly wrong, as it goes against the spirit of the game. Or didn't you notice the devs implementing lots of features like the curio system in a futile attempt to curb botting? Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should. Being able to program is hardly a rare skill, hell I make my living developing games (mostly writing AI at that), but I wouldn't even think about writing bots for Haven. Botting here is like using doping in sports just because you know you won't get caught.

Tell that to your friends at Highgarden first. Little, quiet, botting-free village.

I'll have you know that Avu forced us to manually harvest and replant flax and carrots every couple of days. He also forced us to level the whole town before we could build anything

Oh yeah. Botting 2 days out of 3, great job. I love how burgi came to me PMing that we destroy the game by creating bots, while you guys were using them long before us.

I don't want to waste my time writing another wall of text. If you are smart enough you will be able to analize causes and effects, view the problem from the different sides and then maybe your 'clear' vision will change.
