He has cave hermit so trolls will not aggro him. Otherwise for the rest of the situations it a terrible idea.

worst scenario is they can aggro horse, you just dismount and let the troll KO it, or, if you feel like taking the risk of cave-in you could try to run away though KO'd horse is much safer option.

How many cupboards of jotun gems do you have then? If you have higher stats then you are doing something wrong, tabbing out or botting.

A lot because I mine a lot. Also I don't bot mining even though it seems you judge me for my scripting abilities and a misconception that since I can code that I have everything automated and seem to neglect the point of the conversation here because it isn't how many Jotun gems I have or how I mine. So please, stick to the conversation of the slimes and not what I have in my cupboard k?

The point in why I raised this topic wasn't just only me but other people in the realm that struggle with this. It is an issue that is making a lot of people absolutely hate mining even when it was their favorite pass time like it was mine. I have nothing against the slime mechanic itself but it not properly balanced at all and is punishing players for another broken mechanic. If more layers are added then I am and probably a lot others are fine having more slimes and difficulty on lower levels and less on the current levels. But currently there is noobs who are just trying to get into the game who are now just hitting a wall since mining is becoming so difficult which just increases the gap between newer players and others that have been here which worsens the situation food is already causing. I have to raise my villager's stats so high so they can mine in most cases without getting killed and I have the resources to do so. A new group of players (never mind even hermits) cannot even begin to close this gap unless they get assistance or use real money to close this gap and even then they are still behind this gap which is part of the reason why a lot of people feel like there is no point until a world reset.

Just tell your hermit friends to make a pepper farm if they need that much hand holding to be able to mine.
There are also other mine levels than 5. No need to be a hero and mine on lvl 5 only if you are weak or bad at avoiding slime.

Tbh I don't understand it either, I don't have an issue and whilst my stats are a bit higher than yours they are no-where near anything resembling 10k, lol, not even near 1k ... :?

Just to be clear, when I say ''broken mechanic'' I mean ONLY that part, where you mine out 20+ slimes from single tile. I really don't mind all other slime aspects, though still think it's just annoying more than challaging. But THAT part is just broken. And here what, IMO, could be done:
- make pickaxe a weapon.
- limit the max number of slimes in one tile to 10.
And again, if you have stats less than 1K, and have no problems with slimes, you either a lier, or just lucky and never really.mined out more than 10 INITIAL slimes.
English is neither my native lang, nor my best side...

Would love to see the number of cave levels double. Would give more wiggle room to scale rock hardness/ monster spawn rates/ ore quality.

At the very least it would take the big boys double the resources needed to reach the high quality ore on level 10. Hell, I'd even go so far as to require more resources to build mine holes the further down you go

I said mining was more annoying now, not impossible. TO me is just not fun to be interrupted in something that was pretty sweet activity. Now you have to switch weapons, fight multiple enemies, maybe have to go back and heal, I usually just stop mining there. It was a relaxing activity, planning where to mine, where to expand. Now is just about interruption.
