No its not, you may still die because of hhp dmg and getting KO'd sucks. Especially if you don't have time to throw away your snekkja/knarr key.

you wont tho. it takes longer then 30seconds to completely run out of stamina while standing still in water. youll tp before death.
see homo sexuality trending,. do not do that.

remove all PVP from big boats, add more boats

it's super dumb when you think about it, how the fuck are you suppose to lean over a massive ship and punch somebody in a canoe?

this should also be the case for PvE

we should have smaller boats with heavier armour or more soak that can traverse ocean and allow pvp/pve

or we should have the ability to deploy smaller boats out of bigger boats and jump in to them easily

big boats like knarr and snekja should function more like a ram, they have some form of siege-like attack that can potentially increase with the amount of people onboard and should mostly be for attacking other big boats, possibly still big animals like whales? and structures near water

Because Knarr and Snekkja are so OP you should be able to see them from afar using same mechanic like with Quests. If you're less than 300 tiles from Knarr then blob appears and has different icon if its moving or not.

... and instead killing your own alts you kill and steal from other players to prove your point ....

reminds me a lot of those lame "teaching" excuses ...

Or perhaps knarrs and snekkjas should just not be OP, rather than designing around their OPness.

It was necessary to sufficiently prove the point:

That is actually a valid point. There were no reason to drown people, demosntarting that you can KO in 3 seconds is enough to prove that Knarr combat is broken...

I'd say triggering someone hard enough to complain about this being possible - precisely the point shubla is trying to make - adds a lot of weight to his argument. If it were a purely theoretical argument, even if with a demonstration that KOing someone quickly is possible, people could argue that the potential damage caused by this trick is not as bad as speculated. Demonstrating that in a real situation you can murder anyone in a matter of seconds, with the player already having no chance of survival two seconds in, eliminates any doubt that the current state of knarr combat versus single players in a boat is horribly broken.

so far i think potjeh has had the best idea on how to change this

Yeah, everybody says that just get to shallow water, but when you are boating around, eating cookies with one hand in your pants, and knarr full of people comes in your screen, its surprisingly difficult to do rational quick decisions, like click yourself to the shallow water immediately, as you have basically 3 seconds of time to get into shallow water, or less. And this is all assuming that you even know that you should get to shallow water.

(i.e. even now people are trying to argue that people may have a chance, but the live situation test proves this wrong; this would be a valid argument if it had not been a live test)

Taking unwilling participants makes the message more severe, giving it more attention, forcing devs to act.
Reminds people that stuff that happens in the video happens every day even by non botters, because the boat combat is broken.

By the way, even though this has been a hot and controversial subject of discussion the past two days, the devs have yet to respond to it. Are you still contemplating how to respond to this, are we suddenly getting a big nerf/mechanic change next patch, or is this put on the backlog as a 'look at fixing someday' item? People are seriously worried about this subject and I don't really feel safe near water (particularly for longer trips) with the attention being drawn to this making it more likely other people will try this 'convenient trick'. Some kind of statement, or even just an acknowledgment that this issue is being considered, would be nice.
