Ending cosmetic item extortion

Not really adding my opinion, but Jorbtar need to make an official statement about hat or die shenanigans. They shut down Snail's W12 store after I gave them my sob story, so there has to be some idea of where the line is drawn.

I was not aware you could permanently transfer cosmetics to another account before this thread. The case of cosmetic extortion would seem to fall on extremely dubious ethical and legal footing. I was curious if there was legal precedent but it seems there is nothing directly analogous and there is little legal precedent yet.

IANAL but I suspect in the case of extortion of items with real money replacement small dollar or consumer courts which most countries have would side with the victim and refund the money.

lol honestly it surprises me that he bothered to move the thread at all instead of going on a rant about the free market, typically they have shown that they really don't care much about these issues.
