I feel like this incentivizes being in the bottom 50% in the first weeks until you get a proper table. Because super tryharding to be in the top 10% gives you like 40 more stats (so like a 100-120) and your hunger ends up around 150% next week, meanwhile someone who just chills, gets some basic stats making sure to be in the bottom 50%. goes back to 300% instantly and with better table and food can probably outscale you easily.
It's already like that tho, feasting within a few days of a massive table upgrade sucks. Though a timed hunger reset mechanic should have its intervals shortened in the early phases of the world.
Hell, there should just be a slider like personal beliefs that lets you set how frequently you want to feast. So if you want to feast a little every day you set it to the minimum, and if you want to do a big feast every 3 weeks you set it to the maximum. And this makes the hunger/satiation bars fill up X% slower but also regen X% slower or reset X% less depending on how the hunger system works.
