I've had market before- HLTU- that's when we had to do the coin update ordeal. :D
not to mention our markets in AD world 3 :D
but anyhow~

Never heard of your market being any kind of successful.
Not to mention that W3 AD's market has never been finished or opened for the public. It was meant to be a trading place for high tier items. You're digging your own credibility grave, darling.

generally to make newbie become producers, we give them tedious jobs. such as gathering something.
That is a bad attitude and has nothing to deal with ambitions and potential the trade could have. What you are saying: noobs could never offer anything, so they shouldn't.
I am saying that we should have an economy that would let people make living by selling only 1 good. For instance, selling steel could get you enough food, feeding troughs for your animals and etc. without you needing to go out and hunt. The current hafen economy is dealt in a micro level (people within the village taking specializations and etc.) whereas it could be and should be brought to a higher level.

What we really need would be a way for noobs to get to the market without needing a town (hfire)
Agree, but I am afraid the devs think that making the travel accessible will allow factions to spread across the map and pillage. At least that is how it feels. There have been suggested ways of using claim stakes as a point of teleport towards the charter stones.

Teleportation doesn't have to be the only solution. A few alternatives of a sort of delivery service, with the possibility of interception and backstabbing, is a good compromise and would boost the industry cycle in a way a simple teleportation doesn't.

Yeah, for 1x2 slots at least. Then we'd have to
Buy falconry skill
Build messenger bird house
Feed birds. Possibly raise bird quality for bigger inventory.

That sounds like a good increase of content. With the bonus of being able to send messages in-game instead of metagaming on the forum. And bulk trade would still be restricted to barter stands so no harm done to markets.

And therein lies the problem, the game has the constant stat increase grind that could be compared to your average korean MMO where you do the same thing to increase stats that will do nothing relevant to help you with anything in the game outside of, yet again, increasing your stats further, but lacks the actual content part where you'd have a reason to actually improve those stats outside of fighting bigger animals or swimming further.

I wish there was less grinding and more focus on strategy/tactics and alliance building.
If this was the case, the game would have more longevity.

@Goo

Bodybuilders need a special diet, plenty of time in the gym and unrestricted access to their source of illegal anabolic sterioids to keep Mr.Universe shape.

Why not make the characters need upkeep to not revert back and items get worse with use?

Then you would have your resource drains and interest in buying stuff...

discrediting my market would be like saying the prime minister/president of another country is not successful because you didn't hear about it. in that way of thinking the only successful person on earth is trump.
AD market still was open to all of AD what at the time was a number of villages, it ended when the glitch happen and we gave up.
HLTU only lasted for awhile. then our towns up and went dormant when we jump over to black desert and ablion online.

generally to make newbie become producers, we give them tedious jobs. such as gathering something.

The current hafen economy is dealt in a micro level (people within the village taking specializations and etc.) whereas it could be and should be brought to a higher level.

THAT is the definition of a tedious task for noobs, to sell steel.
and I didn't say noobs should not sell items.
"What we really need would be a way for noobs to get to the market without needing a town (hfire)
and some kind of item('s) that don't have Q and that are used in recipes.
the items should be noob friendly. Im currently trying to play the start of the game again to figure out what is needed. (a lot)"

Steel is an example~ but steel is not noob friendly~ steel is on the level of higher tier town, generally noobs wont even have metal and are trying to trade to get metal. that's why I said there should be items that don't have Q or Q not needed used in recipes that noobs would be able to provide for towns.
Also why I say tedious (WHY DO I NEED TO EXPLAIN THIS TO YOU OF ALL FUCKING PEOPLE) is cuz big towns can do all jobs- but when a job like gathering strings were tedious (before the leather strings or before the hay strings update)- selling ropes were an easy way for noobs to make a buck.
if I have to explain why noobs don't know stuff or know how to get steel or why things like tedious task are good for noobs cuz they wont get the quality of top pros (in a no stat cap world) and the only way for em to make money in your market is to sell items that take time to make that pros dont want to put in the effort to make. then this is a waste of time trying to explain things to you, and you know noting of what noobs or hermits care about

This would be easily brought up to j&l. fire should be a one way teleport for you only to a charter stone.
this will solve the hermit & noob issues that don't want to be part of towns.
We've already have charter stone (when we didnt want teleport) making it only accessible for towns with a charter stone is pure stupidity.
