This is a cope. With the way getting KOed works now the worst case scenario is a bunch of wounds and losing your gear, as long as you're careful.

hi its me professional cave hermit vigilance here and i'm fucking tired of doing this stupid ass credo i'm not going to do it for the 8th time in my life

if i have to smoke hemp with vedunda or deliver a rock to odinjana one more time i'm going to have a brain aneurysm

please stop making me talk to trees and rocks as a vital mandatory requirement to even fucking vaguely compete in the mining metagame, and please super-stop punishing me brutally for not doing fisherman as my very first credo on every character, then mystic after forager, because if i do mystic any later than 2nd credo it wont get done without me miserably fucking abandon-chaining Experience quests.

my pleas fall upon deaf ears because credos will never be made fun, as every good suggestion possible has been made and none have been even "Hmm, will consider"'d at.

Does my suggestion on the previous page of this thread count as good idea? You're right about the "not even will consider" though, I think I first posted that idea like a year ago on some other thread about credos.

Sure. Except for the minor problem that EVERYTHING causes injuries to your HHP now, and if you're actually playing the damn game and not spending all your time simply wandering around looking for XP and studying curios, you've constantly got injuries of some sort. Credos are fucking terrible if you aren't a part of one of the factions on the good days, and once everyone has quit the world because it doesn't just load noobs up for you to murder on demand, it actually gets worse as the factions that stay active start searching even harder for people who can't fight back to go after. And honestly I guess it makes sense, I fucking suck at PVP too, I'm definitely going to be more likely to go fight someone who can't fight back vs taking on someone skilled.

LOL what skill, PvP outcome is determined purely by who did more grinding.

I think the answer to that is the same as I read everytime I saw Snail complaining, which goes like that: "I don't like this game's feature because I can't exploit it properly with my bot scripts"

No one responded to your post because it was dumb as fuck and clueless.

I just wanted to let you know.

your suggestion is pretty good but not my favorite implementation, it's overly complex by needing to assign arbitrary numerical progress values to objectives so it'd see a bit more dev time than the more simple suggestions of "every credo gets a basic tier determining quests to complete" etc

i wouldn't be unhappy seeing pretty much any change though tbh because my miner alt will forever be stuck on Hunter since he's got the only credos that REALLY matter, and I'd rather spend my energy doing other things than doing a basic baby credo with significantly more quests per level than I reasonably should have to do.

I think this thread displays sheer hypocrisy of some players. It is sand box game, all about grinding, and there are credos or not - u will still grind. Snail and some other bitch about credos only because other villagers and hermits grind better. Probably extensive botting approach by former making them stressed and to reinstate their status quo they just try to sabotage credos. Dont forget, you dont need to credos and you can bot more!

Credos are among few things in this sandbox world that brings a bit of purpose in all that q grinding.

1) There's no hermit or intermediate group that is "better" at credos than my village. Last world we had 8 scholars among like 3 people. This world we had a farmer on day 3/4 to start raising flax. I'm VERY confident we had the first herder in the world the previous two worlds. I have access to a character(probably 2-3 characters for most) with every credo in the game.

2) Ye, automation in hafen obviously isn't at a point where you can press a button and come back a day later to finished credos, but we have scripts to help A LOT with most credos.

3) Not all grinding is equal. I unironically enjoy, not tolerate, enjoy some light grinding in haven with my friends... But you'd never catch me 3 tick fishing in runescape for 8 hours straight.

I assure you, credos widen the divide between you and I. I will have them before you, I'll have them for longer, and I'll use them more effectively than you. The reason I hate credos is purely because they're unfun.

edit: the point above is actually untrue now that I think about it. I also hate credos because lots of friends have cited them as the reason they won't play haven again, because they don't want to do credos AGAIN, and me not getting to play with them anymore kinda makes me hate credos even more
