I'm happy to admit I'm biased and possibly wrong, but I think I'm right. Can we get a hermit opinion? You guys EVER do serious running practice trying to catch/escape each other? I've offered to do this for hermits lots of time FOR FREE and they basically never accept

I can tell only from my experience, and when I was playing first time in a village there were pvp practice inside the village: running and small scale fighting (3vs3+). First part was must have for everyone, middle age women with scythes was crying, but still doing it until they manage to run at least 5 minimaps, haha. Second part for people who was interested, and yeah, most people was not or losing motivation fast, coz experience fighters was just unbeatable for them.
After that there was practices at AD with more people, at least when Sacraer was still playing.

If you playing as hermit or with small group of friends - there is no chance. May be in best condition you will brew some abomination of combat that korean players doing. But I think playing this game not at the village for more then couple worlds it's just waste of time - you just straight skiping most social content of the game that make it actually fun, and only keep boring repeatative girnd again and again.

jorb is not reading any of this neither should anyone

Happened to be false this time.

  • adding flavor text/light instruction to the palisade build entry, which is very precedented.
  • Death experience
  • Instant inheritance
  • SOMETHING to initially communicate to the player that, again, dying is fun
  • I feel like Valhalla should be accessible through hearthfire as well for convenience
  • fix ingame/RL time distinction

Liked these. Also liked the general idea that PvE combat could be more instructive of PvP combat.

Good OP!

I fundamentally agree with this. The game needs PvP.

doesn't rly matter if you fix this without fixing the reason it took 15+ *years* to decide it's worth adding some /3.29s

The PvE vs PvP debate is really a cheater vs non-cheater debate.
Most PvPers use custom clients, alts, bots and so on while non-PvPers usually play on vanilla or Ender.

The tutorial needs to tell new players that cheating is allowed. J&L market the game as a fun collaborative LARP sandbox but the reality is the exact opposite.

Cheating: things I don't like/have/use
Fair play: things I like/have/use

Those things are considered cheating. I know they are completely normalized here and I'm not really arguing against them. I use cheats myself. But try botting, multiboxing, or extensively abusing alts for personal gain in any other online game and see what happens.
Haven has a very unusual stance on cheating and for some reason J&L aren't very transparent about it.
