+1 for deafalls and snares, maybe even a pit trap full of sharpened sticks! :p

As for bear and boar hunting that's why I keep talking about spears, the only real weapon that can kill a bear. Not sure how many arrows it would take to take down a bear, but it should only take one spear.

snares couldnt you just make them catch something randomly like fishing with different baits catch different things ?
same goes for any "trap" type hunting contraption

and lol the animals are dangerous enuff now lol i havent done much hunting yet im still in build mode but yea they are pretty dangerous if you are out gathering and all the sudden something is coming at you like a mad thing :/ so far ive only be koed once not killed but it was more than enuff to make me weary of hostile mobs floating around and with no healing its even more dangerous

better Ai after a good healing system is in place would be nice P

I think there should be a random mountain out there somewhere with a cave entrance called "The Cave of Arrrrrrrgh" With one killer rabbit that hangs out around it. With lots of goodies inside.

That you'll be able to loot... That is of course.... only if you have a holy hand grenade...
