I guess I reluctantly agree.

As much fun as you're having with murder ants, we really do need a mob to ease new players into the combat system. Permanent damage from non-ko fighting this mob is pretty discouraging for beginners trying out combat. I honestly feel like ants shouldn't deal permanent damage (manually healable perhaps) even on KO. Leave perm to fox/badger KO and then you can get nasty with boars and bears.

It's like the old saying: "Ease em in a bit, then kill them with bats!"

Bats and badgers were kind of intended to bridge the gaps between ants->foxes and foxes->boars respectively.

Can Dryads become enraged when they witness you cutting down a tree, aggro you, and bridge the gap between bears and trolls? ¦]

XD Due to their speed and the ability to fly over cliffs bats ended up above bears in lethality for non-vet combatants and non-combatants. You gave lambsauce a real scare right after patch when we investigated "That funny brown V on the minimap" to have her get slaughtered by a bat swarm while I more or less ran screaming.

I know you'll get it all sorted out :)

Edit: I fully support enraging dryads

Bats have proven more dangerous and deadly than bears thus far. =)

Bats should be nerfed to annoying danger, not deadly.

I thought it was a rare curio. I had already seen bats inside caves, and figured that was where they would remain.

At night, I thought I found a nice, rare, new curio.... when it wouldn't let me right click it on my minimap, I decided to approach to figure out what it was.

Poor 60 HHP

They sat right over my body, too, instead of wandering away like a bear or boar. I logged off and let them reset, instead of risking reaggro when I got up and tried to run off.
