Staying logged in after server crash

Postby overtyped » Sat Sep 19, 2015 10:14 pm

Is this a gameplay mechanic, where if the server crashes, and comes up, you stay online if you have scents? It's a little bit absurd don't you think? especially if you were fighting someone, and they manage to log in a few seconds before you.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

Server shouldn't crash. ^^

Perhaps Bob Dole should have fewer friends?

If the server crashing isn't a gameplay mechanic, then why not let it log you out, until you log in again?
Can you stop with the friends thing, this applies to everyone, not just me.

Server was down for like 5 hours last night. Shouldn't have to sit here waiting for you to wake up because I crashed outside with scents. I have a job that I need to sleep for.

I have to agree with my hopefully to be future friend Bob Dole, should probably either log out players with scents, or just spawn them at their HF. Would suck to have a crash right before real life obligations hit.

Lots of crashes for something that shouldn't. In all seriousness though, this is a legitimate complaint that needs addressing.
