"Empty" button for trough and chicken coop

Postby wickerman_156 » Sun Sep 20, 2015 1:55 am

Implement a button that empties the fodder contained in troughs and chicken coops.

+Destroying a trough doesn't spill its content on the ground, just deletes it.

Moderator note: merged two other threads with this one that had basically the same requests in them. In one them, there was the additional request of an "inspect" so the the quality of fodder could be seen or just displaying that info. --MagicManICT

I'm pretty sure a trough doesn't actually know what's inside it. Just averages the values and fills a bar. It'd take a lot of work to reverse that, for relatively little ingame benefit.

Knowing the quality of the fodder would be nice though.

I think he meant something like what Ender put on his client for the original game.

You can use buckets, but, yeah, I guess that could be neat.

+1 for this idea, but it would also be nice to expand it for not only an easy-empty but an easier way to fill it. After adding 1000's of beets, carrots, etc the click-fest is just a bit much.

Feed Troughs

Postby boreial » Fri Feb 12, 2016 11:23 am

could it be made so that the feed troughs have a flower menu with "examine" (checks avg q's of contents. and amount in trough), and "empty/dump" (self explanatory)

+1 ... I hate it that we can't see average quality of fodder!

I've been posting for awhile now that the inspect feature should be used to display quality swill of trough/coop.

Not that I disagree, but you can check it with a bucket
