Jorb/loftard might have stated somewhere that client is unable to process many sources of lightning?

Some sort of lantern would be a really interesting feature. I'd love to see something of the sort introduced to the game. But, I don't want it to have some stupid fuel mechanic. That's just unnecessary tedium.
In Starbound they had a latern on a stick which provided light for all your delving needs. I wouldn't mind seeing the same.
