Why do we need this?

till you get a road up it takes forever

so that would be to speed things up a bit everything already takes ages to do... this will alow you to atleast send alot of stuff home the first time you get there then you can build your road (that also takes a heap of time) and you always end up with some extra logs and blocks that you could send home instead of having it lie in the wild along a road.. And i'm sure there are many times when you guys go out foraging that you find alot of stuff but then bags are full make a crate to take stuff back but that's still not enough cause oh wait there is more stuff that you need shit lets make a boat and load it up with crates but that means your back home.. and have to run all the way out again cause no one builds a road to every single place they go and explore this will simply allow you to be in the wild longer ... for max foraging i love to forage and explore the place but with the slep of having to head back every time my t-sacks are full is a pain in the pooper!
