donkeys

ponies, when tamed, instead of a horse turn into a donkey. this gentle fellow moves much slower than a pony, but can carry two objects on his sides (like the sacks on a cart). of course they can pull wagons like an ox too. it's the perfect forager companion! i don't think it would be overpowered this way because of the speed decrease and we can already use carts to move stuff around. people who want speed to raid and such would still use wild ponies. it's just fun and useful.

This would be neat. They could walk on crawl speed and carry two objects like boat.

I liked this idea, but I'm also fond of having tamed horses and a rich/neat horse breeding system.

Maybe donkeys could be the 'unlucky' turn of taming a horse (I also want them in the game but I'm not sure which other animal could be added to become a donkey)

I just had this conversation last night on teamspeak. We need donkeys for all the inevitable ass puns.
“We still, alas, cannot forestall it-
This dreadful ailment's heavy toll;
The spleen is what the English call it,
We call it simply, Russian soul.”

An idea to consider: Tedium, a Feature.

Well, we got, y'know, tubers, so maybe we can have pack-pigs.

I don't mind donkeys at all. That'd be cool.
