Soil decay time

Postby Tacheron » Thu Oct 22, 2015 1:33 am

Currently soil decays back into ground really fast. Can we have it last about 2 minutes longer? I want to be able to allow my guy to level land without having to monitor him so much to remove the dropped soil into stockpiles. Those 2 minutes seem just about right.

Myeah. I think I can agree with that. Will consider.

rather not. cuz then it takes forever getting rid of cliffs.

I would rather see a way for unused soul to fill stockpiles that are laying on the Survey land.

Erm...no. I am saying that currently, when you're leveling with a full inventory, the soil that drops on the floor gets reabsorbed into the ground too fast, not giving me time to remove it if I've went afk while doing that drone task. I was actually removing a cliff when I posted this.

That would be wonderful, though, but I asked for the time thing cause that probably just requires a minimal change of a number. This would require some actual coding.

You talk about digging down a cliff, he's talking about putting down soil to raise the area in front of a cliff.

Now that we're into it anyway, I'd love if the opposite could be true as well: land surveys taking soil from stockpiles next to them (if soil is needed to fill the area)

Just like buildings do with stockpiles: place them next to the survey and it will start getting from the stockpiles when you start filling it.

:? Why would that be an issue? You set a survey sign and it fills it almost instantly, I seriously hope no one is terraforming cliffs by dropping soil on the floor and waiting for it to get absorbed.
