Add sky please

After I've discovered :cam bad option black sky is seen most of the time.
Could you please add a sky?
It may be simple - just 2 colors for day and night and it may be even a cube limiting visible area.
Having some kind of distant land and horizon (just a static sprite, like it was done in HL1) could be even more great.

The problem with that is the present lack of meaningful rendering distance. I push for this every once in a while, but I don't expect it to become reality any time soon.

Don't get it. Just put skybox texture in.

no thanks, this game already gives me terrible fps as it is, no point rendering something that will never even get seen

skyboxes are normally quite lightweight i believe, depending on the texture. a simple gradient with colours periodically changing along with shadow updates would work well i think (how hard could that be, we already got disco lights, right :)). maybe something to include in the season update if that ever comes. :)

For now maybe a solid blue color is possible.
It's near zero in terms of GPU load also.

I imagine there should be zero cost to just use a solid color (depending on time of day would be nice) other than black. Unless there's some 'transparency' glitches that would cause some blue pixels to appear when stuff doesn't render correctly...
