Farming Related Thoughts and Suggestions.

Farming and how RNG coincides with harvesting and planting is not very desirable, in my own opinion. Why is quality RNG'd at planting rather than harvest. I mean, doesnt that make more sense? Crop quality should either go up or down when harvested. Inspecting a freshly planted crop to determine the quality of an entire plot just isnt clicking right, with me anyways. The decrease in time it takes to get a new RNG from a recent patch, down from 5 hours or so, has made it better, but farming in general feels pretty weird.

I say take inspecting out of farming, and let RNGesus, along with farming inclusive skills, determine what happens to individual crop quality. Which would be much more time consuming considering having 3 quality factors to work with now. (A kink I havent quite figured out how to counteract yet)

I cant be the only one that thinks the state of farming is strange. Collectively gathering the communitys vision for farming, maybe we can make it easier for our developers to shape it into something more "sensible". What are your thoughts and ideas for what would make farming more inclusive?

Still roughly how I feel about it. Inspection has given us the ability to guide it, with great frustration as a side effect. I feel a fertilizer style thing that modifies the RNG as a method of guiding crop quality is a reasonable system. And yeah, get rid of crop inspection.

Yeah, I like the idea of a fertilizer or even compost. Compost could be a compiled from plant matter such as leaves, fibers, apple cores, perhaps sticks in place of woodchips, and a way to add moisture. Then let that mature over time and eventually produce compost, which obviously isnt as nutritionally potent as fertilizer, but easier to obtain, while having at least some nutrients to give crops a boost.
