All other foraged curios are trash in comparison and all metal curios are better
Fate curios are a joke and most of them aren't even that great compared to common curios like glimmers
Hunting is still done, but as the world progresses cheeses and salads are taking over and making it obsolete aside from filler foods and alt spams
We need things to keep people out of their walls and roaming
There's literally no reason to leave my village's area while foraging
The entire world is the same no matter where you go
No variety in biomes based on where in the world you are located, no special curios, no new landscapes
It's all the same
Exploring is fairly pointless aside from mapping and after a certain point, it becomes pointless to even do that because no one can be fucked to realistically run all that way for a raid that would provide hardly any loot to bring back home with you
Not to mention the massive time investment getting there and waiting out debuffs
We need trolls back in mines
We need slim chances with big rewards that surprise you, and we need varietyjordancoles wrote:
When I look at this picture I see very few differences between the players
A difference in helmet choice and the occasional steel plate instead of ctc is all you will generally see
When a new player is looking at a game, they will often search up what "endgame" could potentially look like. If they like what they see, they have more reason to play and grind up to that level. If they do not like it, there is less motivation. When there is only one "endgame" gearset to choose from, it's a 50/50 chance that they will like it, and be motivated to play long-term.
Adding more options and customization can only help.
Shield maneuver is just simply too good to pass up. There is no comparable 2-handed ability to make up for it, so b12's are basically out of the question at the moment unless you're willing to give up a good chunk of your defenses or add more cards (yuck)
Dyes make this more bearable however. Everyone wears a shield, but at least they can be altered in some way to add individuality.
The extra AC of wearing 2 vaps is also simply too good to pass up, so people rarely wear a cloak as seen in this picture.
No one wears chainmail at all because it goes in the armor slot and not the secondary shirt slot.
The AC and agility bonus of ranger's boots sets them in a class of their own and literally no other boot type compares to them.
In the accessory slot we have a choice between a beartooth tali, or a bandit's mask. Outside of foraging, there's no reason to wear anything else.
I'm not saying that we need 20 new items for every item slot, but I am saying we need variety in how people look because it's clone wars up here.
Allow us to add pigment in with our crafting recipes
Give us like 4 different colour options, we don't even need the full rainbow
Keep sketchbooks for special designs, but allow us to simply change the basic colour of the gear
Aside from coloured kin names overhead, it would be nice for your team to wear say, all red gear
For your foragers who are majorly unkinned by your whole village to wear a blue rangers cloak
To wear a full white robe set and RP the fuck out of it
Atm the bat cape is the only one that gives AC and stat boosts so it's all people wear considering they want to also wear a helmet and it looks like shit
------------------
Instead of brainstorming different attribute increases, base AC values and whatnot, it might be a nice thing to simply give the same crafting recipe for 3-4 different types of armor.
So they are effectively the same in terms of gear quality but it adds much needed variety and personal preference into the mix
I find that if "new" armor is added it will either be better or worse, and then because of that the armor either becomes the new norm, or it's not used at all
Please consider
Lastly, it would be amazing to uncover hidden areas while mining which would have things like a special small chest with a special skin that can only be obtains from those types of caverns, along with a fancy throne or stand-up torch.
We should be able to find broken/ancient sword hilts inside of these hidden chests, or inside of old logs and stumps which we could then use with a regular sword to change its look. This would be a status symbol and would be nice to hand on a wall.
Large endgame monsters with 1/5000 spawn rates for nearly every biome would be welcome, along with special aesthetic drops such as a white bearhide from a polar bear, which can be made into a white bearcape, etc.
Trolls and troll cloaks
Rabid squirrels
Just please give us more sand in our box!
