currently it's almost the same color as the inner part of the trough. it would be easier to tell at a glance how much is in the trough if the fodder stood out more.
Yes, +1, has also crossed my mind, though I would rather the inside of the trough be darker than change the fodder colour, which looks pretty normal.

either way is fine, the point is more of a difference
The idea is that they'll have variable materials down the road when that can be combined with mesh selection. They just use all pine at the moment.
