Track gates and claims

Postby Aritain » Sun Jan 17, 2016 2:30 pm

Well, it might been already suggested previously, but could we be able to track gates based of possessed master key and also be able to track location of claim based on possessed claim token?

I am not so sure about the key tracking but I do think this one should be possible, but only in the way that you should be able to use a claim bond that you OWN to find the claim meaning you'd have to study it first.

No, very easily abused and unfair.

Yeah the keys maybe but I do think we should be able to find claims that we own. If you take a claim bond and study it that claim now belongs to you and that's great but if you don't know where the claim is in the entirety of the vast and empty world, it kind of ends up being useless.

How exactly? Master key shouldn't be leaving your gates in the first place so if they have that they should damn well know where the gate is anyway since they should already be inside and as for the bond just recall it at your totem. If they have enough time to study it then that's your own damn fault as well.

I'm certainly all for a bond being able to be used to give you a dowsing cone towards it's claim as long as you own it. There is no reason not to other than because jorbtar is busy with something more important.

First of all capturing a key in no way should give you a clue to where it goes or if its even a lock still in existence. As for capturing a bond (or deed) should not mean you know where it is. If you lost your bond by some means you should have a hearthfire to spawn to or from. If you stole it ;however, you captured a prize now its your task to figure out where it is. Kind of like buried treasure. You know the pirate had the loot but not on him when you captured him. Go find it on your own. :P
