Two types of lp. For combat and non combat(Clarified)

What if your lp is split into two separate entitys?. When you recieve lp, 75% of it goes into a lp pool which you can spend for for non combat stuff IE exploration/survival/farming/etc and the other 25% into a combat lp pool. (doesn't have to be 75:25 ratio)
Something like this will also drastically reduce the amount of throwaway combat alts. Maybe even stop it altogether.

This would make alts much less of a requirement, because you won't need to create different alts for different tasks. Would be great for a guy like me who doesn't use alts. Also, people who otherwise would have just used all their skills into farming/survival, won't be sitting ducks.

Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

Might work since the next world is another experimental world. Would like to see how characters would progress with this setup
I have vague memories of tying a woman up and throwing her in a dungeon.

I actually like the idea of specialized lp but it won't solve the issue that many players have no understanding or ability to fight. Or maybe it will? I like the idea either way.

i agree 100% this game is all about being peaceful and soon to be not perma death if you dont want to die irl stay inside your house it is a basic human right to not die in a video game

I clarified, i realized the idea could have been taken the wrong way.( as in lp is spread evenly into skills, which isn't the idea at all) Try rereading it.
