Auto-Kin village members

Sorry if this has been suggested before, but I happen to have fallen in with a large pack of folks and the alt list is growing like those animals we can't catch and raise yet - yes Rabbits.... but to the point....

Why is there not an option to auto-kin village members? So every person added gets added to my kin list auto-magically. Obviously you could add all kinds of other neat features like options to not use it, set a specific color, etc.... but at this point the basic "Auto add any new village members to my kin list" feature would be very nice.

Some people are good about adding the 30 hearthsecrets to they new alt, but often it happens that they don't and it spawns an auto-hearth party or 30 people adding one HS over time.

I understand we cant have nice things, but it wont stop me from asking... thanks for your consideration.

+1, I would love to have something like this. Why make us spend 10 minutes typing in hearth secrets whenever we make a new char?

Two players get automatically kinned if the following conditions are met:
They've sworn allegiance to the same village, and they both enabled the option.
I think that would be a pretty neat feature, but only if it doesn't kin people who haven't enabled the option.

I agree, but I it should be an option that you need to opt-out of

I'd be happy with just a villager icon overhead at all times even if I haven't memo'd them

ATM you can't tell a villager from a stranger until you at least memo them

I have suggested this before....

go to the village idol "sync" with it, then whenever somebody "syncs" all of the kin go into a villagers kin tab. If you dont want to opt in to this, then dont sync.

No I don't like it. There is a point of meeting people and learning them and them you. Also in village level there are just some alts you do not need to know for security purposes.

However I do like the suggestion villager icon to make sure they are people you want to kin.

Also, you could set permissions on the idol to prevent "new" players or throw away alts from getting everybody on contact.


As a thing, personally i would love it. Sync up to the idol every few days to check nobody has made a new alt. Would certainly save "white" character "oh poo quick shout in village chat there is an unknown" embarrassment when it's somebodies new naked alt.
