Running in Water

This should be a thing, at a higher stamina cost than normal running (obviously). Being outrun by Jesus rabbits is annoying. I understand that it can't be done in swamps because that would make dragonfly's way too easy to catch, but I can't think of a reason it shouldn't be implemented in water.

EDIT: Alternatively, reducing animal speed in water would achieve the same result.

+1 for reducing animal speed. its affected by terrain, so why not water?
Newbie and noob do not mean the same thing.

Neither do figuratively and literally.

Boat making is not what is being referred to, I am talking about running in the shallows on the side of the river, or making animals move slower within the shallows.

Does a riding horse moves slower in the shallows? They can move with normalcy in the swampland.

Either way, I think any animals without flight can be slowed when the player is. This is just logic.
