Island Map

Now we have Knarrs, I really do think a Island Map next world would be extremely enjoyable and give a sense of immersion. I understand there may be a issue with extending the map, but if you made it 1 super grid bigger than it is now, I think it is easily big enough. Even with the current world size there has been no complaints about it being too small.

I just think this will take all aspects of the game into a new stage. It will define the game world, such as islands inhabited by say Odditown (Hogwarts island) or Dis and key land areas which will be fought over because they are closer to the mountain for example. areas which will become war zones and areas for hermits which will be deemed safer as you do not have raiding factions in the areas.

It will force allied factions to congregate into similar areas and will pave a way perfectly for kingdom implementation, although I don't know how I feel kingdoms personally...

Not to mention port trading possibilities, this is where knarrs will really become useful and raids of those ports also by Knarrs.

I have attached some rather random island maps I have seen.

Boat combat sucks, boating around in water is boring, doesn't allow easy expansion of the map, this isn't pirate simulator, rivers accomplish the majority of your reasoning for this &c

I am liking to see maybe some seas or other waters that can serve up as a natural border. Maybe not for the whole map to be with waters.
