Request: Any headpiece as cosmetic

I've tried to equip a Fox Hat as a cosmetic headpiece (the slot next to the real head slot) but it doesn't work. I've tried with subscription/cosmetic hats (sombrero, etc...) and it worked fine. So I guess this is arbitrary.

Would it be possible to "unlock" the slot for any kind of headgear? So I can have, for example, a fox hat used cosmetically while I wear some helmet?

(I couldn't come up with a reason for things to be like this, that's why I'm kindly requesting it :3
The only reason I could come with would be to prevent a d-helm to be hidden below a spruce cap, for example... But don't the cosmetics do exactly the same? It's arguably a bit of an advantage, actually, if you think like that. Paid items can be used to hide headgear (if the person is interested in hiding their headgear. Not saying they are, it's just the only reason I could come up with ) )

Anyway... That's my request: any headgear equippable on cosmetic slot
