Thats hardened leather armor. Or boiled leather. - I was thinking a suit of protective wear made by stringing together several layers of dried hides.

i find it weird bear cape doesn't give armor
only badger vest for hide armor atm

but leather is... annoying to make, would've been nice to skip a step with troll skin, not that i would ever get one
